This exhibit is for Nebraska K-12 Students. The State Capitol Youth Art Month Celebration will feature a K-12 art exhibition during March. In addition to participating students, the Congressional Art Caucus Competition award winners from Districts 2 and 3 will be recognized during the reception and ceremony at the State Capitol on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 2 P.M. This show is for art work that meets the following criteria:
- must be original work not entered in a previous McCook Art Guild Photo Show
- no work done in a class or workshop or done under the guidance of an instructor
- no copies of other artists work or copyrighted material, or photos of other works of art
- All art must be suitably framed not to exceed 40” in any dimension; wire is required and no saw tooth hangers.
The OHSAI is a free summer art institute open to high school students’ grades 10-12, with a demonstrated talent in the visual arts and strong interest in Indian culture. Participants are selected based upon their applications. Special attention is given to applications from Native American students.
