This NATA resource for private, independent, and home schools provides opportunities to develop a network and access to visual arts resources, training, workshops, and conferences. Our mission is to expand our educational community, promote art advocacy, and provide the support for implementing art in school-wide curriculum. NATA will assist Independent schools with meeting high standards in learning about visual art and preparing students to be innovative, empathetic, creative thinkers who solve critical problems in a globalized world. Contacting A Certified Visual Art Teacher
Contact Nebraska Art Teachers Association ESU Representatives for NATA Certified Visual Art teachers in your area to teach sessions for your students. We hope that providing you contact with certified art teachers assists you in meeting Nebraska Regulation Rule 14 requirements for instructional programming and graduation. NATA is not responsible for programming you arrange with any NATA member certified art teacher under independent contract.

Attend a professional development workshop hosted by Debbie Wehrmann-DeFrain, NE Dept. of Education, & Jennifer Bockerman, NATA Independent Schools Liaison, for developing in-depth fine arts curriculum to meet 21st Century Learning Goals. Teachers and administrators will learn how to align high standards with current curriculum, categorize lesson objectives, and be provided with resources for implementation and assessment development.
Participants will explore two exhibits at the Nebraska History Museum and four workshops with artist educators throughout the day. |
