Angela Drakeford is a young artist who grew up in Omaha. Her life changed when she the new Crystal Bridges Art Museum asked artists from all over the U.S. to submit new work for an ambitious survey of American art. The museum got 10,000 submissions from established artists as well as newcomers. The curators chose to include Angela’s work in the show that included only 103 artists. In this video from NebraskaArtists.org, Angela talks about how that process happened, and how her life has changed. She is now pursuing a masters degree in Philadelphia.
