NAEA is once again sponsoring a membership drive campaign for states and individuals.  From July through January, NAEA will track membership growth by each state.  Nebraska could receive some wonderful recognition for growth.  In addition, members who recruit, will be placed in a drawing for a $500 Blick gift card and free registration to NAEA 2016 in Chicago.

How Citizens Can Influence Congress at Town Hall Meetings
RollCall.com recently posted an opinion piece by Bradford Fitch listing ways citizens and groups can have meaningful interactions with elected representatives.
 With the August recess approaching, federal legislators will be in their districts. This presents an opportunity for you to have in-person contact. Some key tips to be effective during these visits:
  • Go early and connect with staff
  • Bring talking points
  • Bring a friend (or a dozen friends)
  • Be polite

STATEWIDE CALL TO PHOTOGRAPHERS | June 1 ~  January 4, 2016
Hildegard Center for the Arts, in partnership with the Nebraska Tourism Commission and the Nebraska State Historical Society has launched a statewide “Call to Photographers” (June 1, 2015 through January 4, 2016.)  This Call will coincide with Nebraska’s sesquicentennial in 2017. www.hildegardcenter.org
