It is Time to Register Your Student's Youth Art Month Entries
This exhibit is for Nebraska K-12 Students. The State Capitol Youth Art Month Celebration will feature a K-12 art exhibition during March.  In addition to participating students, the Congressional Art Caucus Competition award winners from Districts 2 and 3 will be recognized during the reception and ceremony at the State Capitol on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 2 P.M. Visit the NATA YAM website page for all the information!

McCook Art Guild Spring 2015 Photo Show
This show is for art work that meets the following criteria: 
  • must be original work not entered in a previous McCook Art Guild Photo Show
  • no work done in a class or workshop or done under the guidance of an instructor
  • no copies of other artists work or copyrighted material, or photos of other works of art
  • All art must be suitably framed not to exceed 40” in any dimension; wire is required and no saw tooth hangers.
Entries will be accepted at the McCook Art Center 209 Norris Ave during normal working hours from January 31 to February 13, 2015. Judging will be on February 14 followed by a public reception from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the Art Center. All entries will be on public display during regular business hours Tues& Sat from 10AM to 4PM Wed, Thurs and Fri from 1PM to 4PM. Artist may pickup their work during normal working hours from Saturday February 28- March 3.  READ MORE...
Oscar Howe Summer Art Institute, June 7-19, 2015
The OHSAI is a free summer art institute open to high school students’ grades 10-12, with a demonstrated talent in the visual arts and strong interest in Indian culture.  Participants are selected based upon their applications.  Special attention is given to applications from Native American students.  Visit us online at http://www.usd.edu/fine-arts/art/summer-art-institute.cfm
The Garden Gallery in Elkhorn Sponsoring High School Students Art Show
Are your students looking for opportunities to showcase and sell their art work? Are they hungry for experience setting up and working an “art show?”  Is constructive feedback by potential art patrons what they are looking for?  Can we create a learning experience for your students that will help them in the future?  The Garden Gallery in Elkhorn is sponsoring “Emerging Artists – Area High School Students bringing the Community Together” on March 20th through March 21st, 2015.
