Upcoming Hearings on Arts-related Legislation
Monday, March 2nd -- Education Committee hearing on two bills. LB355: eliminates the termination date of the Nebraska Opportunity Grant fund and changes funding allocations from lottery proceeds; and LB402: require the State Department of Education to provide distance education to school districts and ESUs for qualified distance education courses.
Monday, March 2nd -- Appropriations Committee hearing on LB565: provide funding for training and education program in high-need fields.
Monday, March 9th -- Appropriations Committee hearing on funding for the Nebraska Arts Council for fiscal years 2015-16 and 2016-17.

JOB DESCRIPTION OR DUTIES: The Art and Art History Department at the University of Nebraska at Kearney is seeking applications for a Full-time Lecturer in Art Education.  This individual will teach in the undergraduate program in art education and art foundation courses. Additional activities include supervision of student teachers, student advising and recruitment, department/college/university committees and activities including assessment and National Art Education Association Student Chapter; pursuing scholarly research and service in the area of Art related topics.
