NFTA Election CenteR
The 2016 elections will have a huge impact on the arts in our state. If you agree with thousands of Nebraskans who believe the arts play an important role in our families, our schools
and our communities, you will want to know where the candidates stand.
Candidates in the May 10th primary election for the Nebraska State Legislature were asked to complete a survey on issues important to the arts. This report summarizes responses received from candidates as of May 3rd.  A PDF of all Nebraska Legislature candidates can be found at the following link:
Lincoln Arts Festival: Artist Application Deadline May 11, 2016
Apply Now
Now in its 16th year, this premier juried show is anticipated by residents of Lincoln and the surrounding region. A unique mix of prime location, discriminating clientele and a celebratory atmosphere combine to create a “can’t miss it” event. Participation in the LAF is also support for the Lincoln Arts Council and our mission: championing the arts, connecting people, changing lives. As a festival artist, your fees underwrite the important work of the LAC to increase arts access and generate social change. This show provides a high-quality visual art experience through a juried art format on the grounds of a very progressive, upscale shopping plaza. Selected food vendors, live entertainment and kids’ activities help to draw in passersby and create a genuine festival feel. Over $8600 total in awards will be given in a variety of categories including cash prizes and the increasingly popular Patron Sponsor Purchase awards.  Artist prize drawings add to the fun of the event and allow us another opportunity to appreciate and celebrate our artists.
