Our Friday, October 22 NATA Fall Conference Keynote Speaker is Carlos Barcenas! Carlos is speaker, coach, facilitator, and community leader located in the heart of Central Nebraska. As the NATA Fall Conference plans to bring art educators back together, Carlos will draw us closer to one another by examining our personal experiences and exploring ways that we can highlight one another’s differences through the lens of diversity and inclusion.
In the past two decades the way we talk about diversity and inclusion has shifted and gone through changes. For the last 15 years Carlos has worked with people, organizations and communities wanting to make a difference. He is excited to bring his experiences to NATA in a welcoming and interactive keynote, and follow-up session, focused on bringing Diversity + Intercultural Competence = Inclusion into our classrooms in meaningful ways with actionable steps.
“We cannot change our communities without developing inclusive leaders”
