A. Google Expeditions: Virtual Reality in the 5th Grade Classroom
Google Expeditions is a virtual reality teaching tool that allows you to lead or join immersive virtual trips all over the world, get up close with historical landmarks, dive underwater with sharks, even visit outer space! Participants will have the opportunity to test out how VR is used in the classroom and brainstorm ways to design a way to incorporate VR into art instruction. A set of Google Goggles will be available to use during this workshop.
B. For All Rubrics and Classroom
For All Rubrics is one of the best rubric software programs around and it is free! It does what you need, is easy to use, and includes outstanding support. Teachers of all disciplines can easily create and manage assessments of creative projects and connect them to National Standards. Bring a laptop, iPad, or tablet to this hands-on session.
C. Stop Motion Animation
This session will give you the tools you need to get your future students animating. With a hands-on approach to learning, you will learn what it takes to create a simple animation that can be diversified to challenge all ages of animators. Come prepared to laugh, cry, work your butt off, and walk away with your own animation. Cell phones, iPads, and laptops are welcome!
