2011-12 Scholastic Art Awards Timeline
September 15 – Public Launch of the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards of 2011/12
January 12 – Deadline for submitting artwork and all required paperwork to OPS
January 23–31 - Regional judging will take place.
January 31 – Affiliate digitally submits gold keys to Alliance (New York) for judging
February 2–6 – Notification of regional award winners sent out.
February 16 – all gold, silver and honorable mention artwork delivered to OPS TAC Building by 5:00 P.M.
February 17-20 –hanging for Scholastic Art Awards of Nebraska Exhibit – majority will be hung
February 18th 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 P.M. Please contact Lynn Christensen if you are able to assist – 402-557-2406.
February 22–March 14 – Scholastic Art Awards of Nebraska Exhibit open to public
February 25 – Scholastic Art Awards of Nebraska Ceremony at OPS TAC auditorium
- Grades 7-10 11:00 A.M.
- Grades 11-12 1:00 P.M.
February 10-17 – National Art Judging Week
March 10 – snow date for Scholastic Art Awards of Nebraska Awards Ceremony
March 15 – National Notification Day
March 15 – Begin to take down Scholastic Art Awards of Nebraska Exhibit – You are invited to help take down the work and re-pack for teachers to pick up. If you absolutely need work before March 14, you must make arrangements to take down and pack the work yourself. Please call Angie Fischer before removing any work from the exhibit, 402-557-2535.
March 30 – non-National Gold Artwork available to pick up from OPS TAC Building, unless other arrangements have been made.
April 13 – Affiliate will ship back work not picked up (only outside the Omaha metro area) after this date.
June 1 – National Awards: Registration and Ceremony at Carnegie Hall
June 2 – National Awards: Workshop
June 3-4 – Affiliate Leadership Conference
